Coming up in our #263rd edition of Curved Radio this weekend, Gayle Austin is joined by Curvy crewster, the fabulous Aku Kadogo in Atlanta, Georgia with tracks from legends Mavis Staples, William Bell plus tracks from St Germain & Gigi, Ethiopian Singer, Ejigayehu Shibabaw. Fingers crossed we’ll also be able to cross to one of our Canadian crewsters, Cecile Doo-Kingue who is very busy on tour at the moment but she has sent through some amazing tracks from Canadian First Nations artists The Jerry Cans / Pai Gaalaqautikkut, Diyet Music, & A Tribe Called Red she’d like to introduce us to. A curvy fave and always a pleasure to have on the Curve, singer/songwriter, Steve Pledger also joins us on the line from the UK to have a chat with Gayle about his new album, ‘Somewhere Between’ which is being launched this week.
In mr.K’s Curved Radio Social Media followers spot this week, he’s got some fab music lined up from the new Todd Tobias release ‘Gila Man’ out on Tiny Room Records of The Netherlands and published by Hidden Shoal which features another fave, the stunning Chloe March. He’ll also be playing a track from the newest addition to the PLONK catalogue, Niels Gordon‘s re-released electro stunner, ‘Ornacht’ and a terrific version of a traditional song from Welsh singer/songwriter we love here on the Curve, John Stuart Hogg.
You better get your space booties on Curvies because we’ve got all of the above and so much more curvy goodness coming up in the show this week! Are you ready to step out through the curvy portal and stream along with us out into all known universes?
